Getting back into photography has been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and this was my first real step in that direction. I spent a quiet afternoon at Kankakee River State Park, focusing in—literally and mentally—on the details I’ve always loved. These macro shots of plants were a way for me to slow down, reconnect, and remember why I started shooting in the first place. Nothing flashy, just nature doing its thing. It feels good to be back.
